Does my health plan cover your sports medicine services?

If you are a Canadian resident, your provincial health plan covers consultations with our sports medicine doctors and orthopedic surgeons. All of our other services are private, and may be covered by your workplace extended health care plan. Please see Our Services for more information.

Do I need a referral to see a sports medicine doctor?

No, you do not need a referral to see a sport medicine doctor here at SEMI but if you would like the doctor to correspond with your family doctor, we would require a referral from them to do so.

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. All of our physiotherapists, are trained to be the first point of contact. Some insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement from your extended health benefits.

Is PRP covered by OHIP?

The consultation with one of our Injection physicians regarding PRP is covered by OHIP, however all fees for these procedures itself are private and paid out of pocket.

Is there parking available?

Our parking entrance is located off Doris Avenue, one block east of Yonge, just north of Sheppard, UNDERNEATH THE SHEPPARD CENTRE. Our office is located in the South Tower of the Sheppard Centre on the 6th floor. Please bring your parking stub to our office for 90 minutes of FREE validation.

Aditi comes to us with 9 years of clinical experience, with a specialization in Exercise Science and Lifestyle management. Practicing since 2014, Aditi has a wide range of experience with orthopedic and neurological conditions treating patients of all ages in diverse healthcare settings, from hospitals to private clinics.

Outside of work , I am an Indian classical dancer and currently pursuing a degree in it. One of my favourite things to do is dancing with my older daughter as we both are training in classical dance together. I also enjoy reading historical fiction when I get the time. On my off days I also help my husband in managing restaurants

I want to give a 'Big Thanks" to Dr. Stoddard and his team. They did a great job. Tony Keum helped with my Physio - he knows his stuff and really helped get me back to 100%.

I have been playing high level tennis for several years and have seen many healthcare professionals, and Timothy Lee is the gold standard. I had a significant sports injury that posed a huge threat to my ability to resume sport, and worked with Tim extensively. Throughout the process, Tim provided the utmost effort, dedication, and professionalism to help me overcome my injury. Tim is extremely knowledgable and is able to communicate that knowledge effectively to help get to the root of the issue and get you on a personal path to success and recovery.

A very good experience dealing with Tony Keum, Physiotherapist. What I liked is that a plan was discussed first. Also, after few sessions, I was given exercises to do on my own. That helped me to get where I wanted to be. Checks against the plan were done regularly so that when the plan goal was met, time to end the sessions! Thanks Tony...
