May Liu

May Liu completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and a certificate in Athletic Therapy at York University. She then went to the University of Queensland in Australia and received her Masters of Physiotherapy degree. May advanced her manual therapy skills by returning to Australia 5 years later to complete her Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy degree, after which she received her Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). May is a trained Stott Pilates instructor and she continues to take a range of continuing education courses such as the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course to further her knowledge as a physiotherapist.

May has experience working in various settings, including on-field with athletes and in a multidisciplinary private practice. May believes a multidisciplinary approach is needed to rehabilitate any type of injury and to achieve an optimal state of function. Her extensive skills and education background gives her confidence to do this.

May leads an active lifestyle (triathlons, ultimate frisbee, soccer) and enjoys the outdoors. She understands the importance of healthy living and tries to promote this with her clients.
